ITLS will honor members who have made exemplary contributions to the organization, its chapters, training centres, and trauma education at the 2024 International Trauma Conference in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. The awards presentations will take place during the annual business meeting on Thursday, October 24.
- Medical Director of the Year Award: This award is named in honor of ITLS’ founder the late Dr. John Campbell; for outstanding leadership and medical direction of ITLS
- Instructor of the Year Award: This award is named in honor of Dr. Ray Fowler; for excellence in teaching and innovation in ITLS programs
- Coordinator of the Year Award: This award is named in honor of Pat Gandy, RN; for outstanding leadership in pre-hospital trauma training and promoting ITLS
- Ambassador of the Year Award: This award is named in honor of Ginny Kennedy Palys, JD that recognizes an individual who exhibits extraordinary belief in and promotion of the ITLS mission; for dedication to ITLS and for efforts to make the organization stronger
- Harvey Grant Memorial Award: This award recognizes an individual for outstanding service in ITLS Access
- Jackie Campbell Award: This award recognizes an individual for being “the wind beneath our wings” as exemplified by the dedication and service of the late Jackie Campbell, RN
- Donna Hastings Leadership Award: This award recognizes an individual for outstanding leadership of ITLS programs
- ITLS Wall of Honor Award: ITLS recognizes the leaders we have lost; their lives are remembered on the ITLS website

All nominations will be submitted and accepted via the electronic form only.

- Nomination Letter stating why this person should be recognized with this award (limited to 300 words)
- Nominee’s CV (PDF format)

Award Recipient Selection & Recognition
- Award nominations will be reviewed, and recipients will be selected by the ITLS Awards, Bylaws, and Nominating Committee
- All award recipients will be notified no later than September 15, 2024
- Each recipient will receive a plaque/award
- Award recipients will be recognized onsite at the conference, on the ITLS website and ITLS social media channels
- Award recipients do not receive complimentary registration at the conference
